What is an apprenticeship program? It is a program where you learn and earn at the same time. An apprenticeship program trains workers to become skilled in particular trades working in the classroom learning and also applying those lessons in hands on training. There is no cost to the student. Apprenticeship programs can last from 2 years to 4 years to complete. The apprenticeship program that we currently have in place in Alabama at Northwest Shoals Community College is 4 years and you are then certified as a Turbine Machinists.
Our apprenticeship program has been validated by the Alabama Department of Labor.
